What it took to get here....
Started in 1994, Hired Gun Consulting was created to supply support to individuals, and small and medium sized businesses while working for Government and Private Industry enterprises….We learned how to scale down the enterprise processes/knowledge and deploy it cost effectively.
- We started learning and working in IT in Albuquerque New Mexico in 1975 when Microsoft/Apple were just start-ups.
- Digital VAX’s started to compete with IBM mainframes.
- DARPA/DOE were in their infancy with computer automation and data-warehousing, using Keypunch Cards to build programs/databases with FORTRAN, Basic, Algol, and COBOL programming languages.
- Everyone was learning how to collect and analyze their large data sets by deploying technologies to digitize decades of Research Data, which are now replaced by data warehouses being mined by Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence.
Our experience and education is derived from the IT/IS industry evolving in our lifetime, we have experienced in every job/role in IT/IS. We have been responsible for the Transactional/e-Commerce and Privacy based Data/Information Warehousing based architectures and provided:
- Daily management, reporting, and documentation
- Installation, configuration, deployment, security and maintenance of internal/internet networks & systems
- All levels of security for hardware/software/staff
- Hardware/software procurement/deployment & vendor/contract management
First we retooled our organization after 20 years in the field when our CEO achieved two Master's degrees, MBA/MMIT. This provided our focus on the organizational IT/IS & business goals, and created our ability to understand how to apply the business and mission goals to the utilization of IT/IS technologies. Migrating to the enterprise architect role, we developed a methodology/framework to apply:
- Organizational sustainability based on knowledge management
- Standardization of IT/IS resources/services which follow EPLC/ESA architectures
- Building a Turnkey solution to enable organizations to get a Quick Start deploying a secure IT/IS architecture
